Meet Charlie Collins
Charlie Collins, a first time author., after spending a dozen years in management and pastoring churches in SC and AR, has worked in the financial services industry for over 40 years, helping clients reach their life goals and move into opportunities for giving away their lives, for greater joy. After training and certification from Sustainable Faith and The Pathway Home, Charlie offers Spiritual Direction and Developmental Soul care, in-person and online from his home in TN, (Landmarkministries.com) as he and Kathy spend their "retirement" years in the same manner of giving away our life that he has walked with many to live.
Kathy is an accomplished musician and a growing artist. They primarily focus their attention on supporting leaders through various organizations and services, and being available for support of his business partners, part time. They have two sons, John. and Josh, who is married to Suzanne, and two grandchildren, Linus and Norman.
In his book Happily Ever After?, author and former pastor Charlie Collins offers a fresh perspective on marital strife and gives readers a roadmap for returning to intimacy amid brokenness and desperation.
It can be overwhelming when resentment and anger begin to take hold in a marriage. Though we are prone to self-destructive behaviors, there is still hope, and Happily Ever After? draws the reader toward God’s love, the cord that thrums beneath all relationships in our lives. Drawing from the ashes and rebirth of his own marriage, Charlie Collins unveils the paradoxical and biblical path to the intimacy that all couples long for. Each chapter features discussion questions to help identify and confront the feelings and flaws impacting the reader’s relationship.
Happily Ever After? explores the roots of love, demonstrates how to separate shame from guilt and choose honesty over delusion, offers a new definition of beauty, reframes the idea of “failure” in marriage, and helps the reader feel known and understood by someone who’s experienced marital hardship.
